Due to the expansion of robotic milking and associated barn equipment installations throughout our state we are seeking expressions of interest for a full-time dedicated Service Technician to support our growing business.
This role is critical to the service department for the installation, servicing and repair of our customer’s onsite milking robots and associated equipment. Comprehensive training will be provided.
About the role
As a service technician you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of milking robots and all associated peripheral equipment on our customers farms. The work is versatile and includes electronics, mechatronics, pneumatics and associated software. You will also be involved with the installation and commissioning of new robots. The role includes being scheduled for the on-call roster as part of the regular duties and responsibilities.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrated well-developed fault-finding, diagnostic and time management skills.
- Mechanical, electrical / pneumatic experience will be a distinct advantage. Plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, general equipment maintenance experience, or a background in agriculture would be a plus.
- Experience as a Welder / Fabricator
- EWP, white card, Working at Heights (or associated costs for training will be provided if required).
- A valid forklift licence (if you don’t have one the associated costs for training will be provided).
- The ability to work in a small team without close supervision.
- A flexible disposition and able to communicate well with others.
- Be physically fit.
- Hold a current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.
- Hold full working rights within Australia.
Typical key responsibilities include:
- Perform on-site regular preventative maintenance, problem solving, trouble shooting and repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Generate accurate reports of all preventative maintenance, breakdown calls and installations in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot customer queries with telephone support.
- Engage in ongoing product training.
- Management and rotation of stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement improved processes.
